The Institute of Radio Electronics, the Institute of the Metallurgical Industry were located on the avenue at the beginning of the 20th century, and a building intended for the Medical Institute was under construction. In the second half of the 20th century, the Intourist Hotel was opened, the construction of the Project House was completed. A sports complex of the Burevestnik Society was built near Sarzhin Yar with a huge stadium for 15 thousand spectators and several sports halls for various sports. It was at this time that Nauki Avenue went beyond the boundaries of the Sarzhyn Yar, through which a bridge was laid, and stretches to the Alekseevka housing estate (Pavlovo Pole). The western part of the avenue is hosted by the Physics and Technology Institute of Low Temperatures, the only specialized cryogenic institute in Ukraine.
