Description

  • Haidamakys’ pond is situated on the territory of the legendary historical and natural monument ,,Kholodnyi Yar”. It is known that according to the legends during the uprising of Koliivshchyna in 1768, the Cossacks consecrated their knives in it before the campaign. Proof of it are the findings at the bottom of the pond of weapons, pipes, steel thing to get fire (kresalo) and other military tools of Haydamaky.

Haidamakys’ pond is situated on the territory of the legendary historical and natural monument ,,Kholodnyi Yar”. It is a small pond, surrounded by the trees, weeping willows grow near the shores.

On both sides it is protected by defensive embankments. Almost opposite Haidamatskys’ pond there are underground caves, the length of which, according to the legend, reaches up to 30 kilometers. They lead from Motronynskyi Monastery to the defensive ramparts - Kholodnyi, Chervonyi and Holy.
