“Faeton” Retro Vehicles Museum

  • The unique private retro-museum, created by members of the Auto Club, is one of the most popular and visited museums in Zaporozhye. The museum has been a hallmark of industrial tourism for many years, and its collection is registered by representatives of the Book of Records of Ukraine, as the largest collection of cars and motorcycles in Ukraine. Collections of different brands of cars, motorcycles, military equipment and other rarities are presented in the museum's spacious halls.

The private museum of retro technology "Phaeton" is unique and the largest in Ukraine. Today, a large number of exhibits are on display at the Phaeton Museum of Technology, including retro cars, motorcycles, serial and rare prototypes of military equipment, and small arms. Separate exhibits are active and regularly involved in various historical reconstructions. The museum works and completes its collection thanks to a close-knit and creative team of professionals.

In addition to exhibiting retro technology, the museum also works in the direction of restoration and repair of military equipment. Since 2014, armored personnel carriers and army trucks have been built on the basis of the Faeton Museum for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine.

From the bus station with minibus №63A with a change on the avenue of Metallurgists to the minibus №54. Exit at the Ukrgrafit stop. HISTORY

  • The museum was created on the basis of the Automobile Club "Phaeton", founded in 2001.

In 2003, at the Victory Parade, this car was hugely popular, very much liked by veterans and city residents, which inspired club members to create a museum.

On February 15, 2008, an exhibition was opened in Zaporozhye, at which a considerable part of the cars from the collections of the participants of the motor club of them. Leonid Khlevnyy "Phaeton". Auto-Moto Club hosted outdoor outdoor exhibitions on Victory Day, City Day or Motorist Day.
On December 1, 2011, the museum began to be based in a new building of 3 thousand square meters, where a permanent exhibition was opened. Since 2012, the museum has been replenished one hall annually. At the end of 2012, a museum hall was opened to house the World War II machinery and weapons.
2013 was marked by the opening of the hall in the history of the museum, where a collection of retro cars of the Zaporozhets brand was presented. The same year the collection of the museum was registered by the representatives of the Book of Records of Ukraine as the largest collection of cars and motorcycles of Ukraine.
In 2016, a hall is opened, the exposition of which is formed from military vehicles, since 1932. An important event for the museum is the shooting of the movie TV-5 "Phaeton" - a time machine, within the cycle of "Legends" about eight exhibits of the museum.
In 2018, the museum opened an exhibition of foreign retro cars and presented to the museum the industrial direction of tourism in the city of Zaporozhye at the UITT "UKRAINE - Travels and Tourism" exhibition.
2019 was marked by the opening of the Polytechnic Hall, the exposition of which totals about one thousand exhibits. These are ancient objects of life that you will no longer meet in ordinary life. Among them are radios, TVs, cameras, household items of those times. Some items are museum gifts, others are purchased at auctions or online sites.
