The construction project of the Dnepropetrovsk circus complex was included in the USSR State Planning Commission in the 70s. In those days, in the architecture of the USSR, a “struggle against excesses” was conducted, so the circus project turned out to be unusual and interesting, but at the same time quite restrained. P. Nirinberg and S. Zubarev worked on it, the building was built during 1978-1980. The grand opening took place on December 24, 1980 with the performance "The Carnival is Walking the World".
