Kulikovsky were representatives of the suburban noble family. In 1711, during the Prut campaign of Peter I, in the retinue of Prince Dmitri Konstantinovich Cantemir, a Moldavian nobleman, Prokopius Kulikovsky came to Slobozhanshchyna. Volok by origin, he becomes the founder of the famous Slobozhansky family Kulikovsky, and their kind estate for a half century was the village Rokitne. After the death of the colonel, the estate inherited sons - Yuri Prokopovich and Matvey Prokopovich Kulikovsky. Mikhail Matvienovich Kulikovsky - the leader of the Valkiv district nobility. It was him who had the honor to make a major restructuring of his father's estate. He built a new mansion - a luxurious one-story house with colonade in Doric style, loggias and wing. The end of the earthly path of Mikhail Matveyevich became a real test for his brainchild: daughters-heirs immediately after the death of their father changed the estate in Rokytnoy Alexander Nikonovich Andreev, who soon died childless. The struggle between indirect heirs, intrigue and machinations, led to the transfer of Rokitnyansky manor to the royal treasury, and then to the Ministry of Agriculture around 1877. It was at that time that one of the worst periods in its history began: most of the buildings were developing building materials, and a wonderful park loses its unique outlines. At the beginning of the 20th century, by the efforts of General Zarudny, a gardening school was founded here, which numbered about four dozen students in the era of his heyday and worked with local forestry. In 1943 a school of mechanics was opened, re-profiled in 1950 into an agricultural vocational school, and then to the Rokytnensky Professional Agricultural Lyceum.
