Old vast oak trees and a canorous birch grove, a small cozy lake, almost transparent air, saturated with ethers of pine, fir-trees, and white acacias - the ancient landscape park located on Piatnychany attracts residents and guests of Vinnytsia with its antiquity and a special atmosphere of charming archaism.
The reference related to Piatnychany in the letter of Polish king Sigismund gives grounds to date the beginning of the existence of the place at least to the 15th century. The castle-palace that once belonged to the noble-born Polish family of Grocholski brightens the monument of the garden art.

The Palace has been built in Classicism by architect Domenico Merlini. It is surrounded by a landscape park with specific details of English Romanticism created by famous landscape architect Dionisii McClair (Denis McClair).
The life in Grocholski manor was humming with activity: there were hunting, black, Arab, Turkish, heraldic, dining, Pompeii halls in the castle, a chapel, a library with 10000 books written in different languages, lots of family portraits by famous artists, a collection of weapon and suit of knight's armor, a pigeon house, a kennel with hounds and greyhounds, a stable for well-bred horses, a shed with age-old carriages, a greenhouse and a big zoo in the Black forest. But on January 17, 1918, the Palace was burnt by the Bolsheviks. During the reign of Hetman Skoropadskyi, Count Zdzislaw returned to Piatnychany and covered the remains of the walls, hoping for future reconstruction.
Nowadays the landscape architectural complex of the 18th - 20th centuries consists of a Palace, a wing, a pavilion, and a park is a nationally significant sample of architecture. It serves as treatment pavilions used by Municipal non-commercial enterprise “Vinnytsia Regional Clinic Highly Specialized Endocrinological Center of Vinnytsia Regional Council”.
