Unique watches with three dials in Ternopil were originally placed on one of the towers of the ancient Dominican church. The church was erected at the end of the 18th century under the auspices of the famous Polish philanthropist Jozef Potocki.

During the Second World War, as well as with the coming to power of the Bolsheviks, the architecture of the church suffered greatly, the towers of the temple were destroyed, and together with them the unique clock with three dials disappeared without a trace. According to historical documents, the clock was black, and had a diameter of 160 cm. Modern watches have a somewhat modernized look: in the evening they are highlighted, and in the daytime a good white background provides good visibility, which was chosen for better viewing of the movement of the shooters.

Restoration of the clock was occupied by Lviv watchmaker Alexei Burnaev, who developed an exact copy of the old mechanism, based on drawings that have survived since those times.
