Interestingly, the building itself is closer to the classical style, and the superstructure was made in the Neo-Renaissance style according to B. Pokrovsky’s project with a rich architectural plastic of the facade, loggias, bay windows, wide majolica frieze. Since that time, the house belonged to I.Freiman and became profitable, there were accommodations for rent, taxes and rent of which replenished with time the state’s treasury. Later the house was turned into a building in modern style, according to an idea belonging to the architect B. Kornienko. At this time, stucco was added to the facade of the building, figures were placed in the ledges, and loggias were made. On the lower floors of the building were located the premises of shops, which were decorated with huge signs. The second and third floors of the facade of the building were decorated with a pattern of colored glazed ceramic tiles, the fourth floor was placed between the windows of the finishing paired columns, and the fifth was conceived as a dwelling of attic type - attic. Between the windows of the 3rd and 4th floors, it was possible to restore the glazed ceramic tiles that adorn the facade of the building after reconstruction. At the end of the XIX century the house also housed a pharmacy. In Soviet times, the house was not restored, so by the beginning of the 90s it was in a semi collapsed state. The façade of the building was particularly significantly damaged, which required a long reconstruction, which ended in the 2000s. Since then, the building once again adorns the beginning of the central street of the city. Now it houses a cosmetics shop and the Plaza shopping center, a travel agency and a real estate agency, a notary's office and a translation agency.
