Four years later, a square was destroyed near the monument, a year later it was named after Kotsyubinsky. During the occupation of World War II, the pedestal was destroyed by the Germans. Already in 1957, the memorial to the writer was restored, but the square was renewed only in 2011. At the same time, a fountain was destroyed, destroyed in the 40s.
