  • The building was erected in 1954 under the design of architects Lydia Kreitor and Vladimir Sikorsky for the Kirovograd Regional Communist Party.

This building is a prime example of Soviet architecture, combining the main architectural styles of the time - constructivism, rationalism and monumentalism. The entrance to the building looks out to the center of the square, the whole building stretches along the city square, and the massive Corinthian columns evoke a sense of celebration.

  • Until World War II, the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, one of the oldest temples in the city, stood here.
