HISTORY

The owner of the house was Grigory Volokhin - a builder, a member of the building committee and the last mayor of Yelisavetgrad (from 1912 to 1917). In the city, under his supervision, built four brick benches (shops) on the Big Prospective, many streets, parks and squares are arranged.

Volokhin cooperated fruitfully with the city land surveyor Pavel Ryabkov, architects Yakov Pouchenko and Alexander Lishnevsky. The result of their collaboration was this building and many others that still adorn Kropyvnytskyi.

The mansion was originally used as a dwelling. Today it is used as an administrative building of the Security Service of Ukraine.
